A Website would not be complete without graphic design. Drawing a person’s attention to your content and making your site visually appealing, is the first step in conveying your company’s image and instilling a sense of professionalism.
Graphic Design is one of the most important and fundamental aspects of your business and is often the most overlooked.
Our graphic designers come from a variety of fields related to graphic design including animation, print layout, character and concept drawing, 3 dimensional Computer Automated Design (CAD), and of course Web Design
What does Graphic Design encompass?
Graphic Design refers to any manipulation of images or artwork. It can mean designing graphics for use on your site or formatting image content for your pages or products.
How long does it take on average to design a graphic?
It depends on the type of graphic that you are trying to produce or manipulate. A logo can take anywhere from 30 minutes to several hours depending on the complexity of the graphics and the preferences of the customer.
If you are looking for a specific graphic such as a logo, then we have created packages that are priced at flat rates, so that even if the time it takes is shorter or longer than intended, we will still complete it without charging you anymore than you’ve already paid. This enables you to budget your designs exactly and it motivates us to get it done right in the specified amount of time.
If I purchase a block of time but my project does not use the full time allotted, can I get a refund?
We do not give refunds for blocks of time because the blocks are typically set at a reduced rate, however, you can then apply any extra time towards another project or save it until you need it again.
Do I get to pick the designer that I want to use for my project?
In most cases, Yes. It does depend on that designers workload and availability? You can choose from our portfolio, which images you like and we can notify that designer that you desire their services.
A logo is your brand’s visual presence to the world and is often what people remember when they think of your company. The biggest companies in the world have the most recognizable logos and we often identify with that visual image rather than the name itself.
The term “Brand Name Recognition” specifically refers to the identity of the company and how we, as consumers recall and recognize this image, both consciously and subconsciously.
The BrainChild Design can develop your logo and company identity to match your vision and to include this content onto your website as well as your marketing material.
We offer a few options when it comes to designing your logo that can be tailored to your specific budget. We offer a simple logo for smaller companies or companies who do not need full colors or fancy designs to represent their business. We offer a complex logo that may consist of several colors and a very intricate design that may go through several design changes before it meets your satisfaction. Our artists will sit down with you and sketch out your concept until you are satisfied and then proceed to color it.
We want you to have a fully customized and vectorized logo that can be applied to all of your marketing material as well as on your website and company documents. You will be investing a lot of time and money into your material and we want you to be satisfied with the results as well as have your customers recognize you by image as well as name.

Questions About Logos
Click any of the questions below to reveal the answer
What is the difference between a Logo and a Character?
Essentially they can be considered the same thing and in some instances they are. For Example, the website Myfoodking.com used this character as their logo. However, because of the amount of detail in planning and designing the character, we chose to charge a different amount because it often takes longer to produce and requires more detail.
Sometimes customers do not want a character for a logo. Instead they want the character for a cartoon or for a start to an animated movie. This requires more planning, detail and often changes. In a lot of cases, we choose to charge an hourly rate instead of a flat rate due to the extra time required to produce a clean image.
What is a Vectorized image?
A vectorized image is an image that is expressed as a math equation rather than individually plotted pixel by pixel. When someone says that an image that has been enlarged looks “pixelated” they are referring to the graininess of the image and how it starts to look distorted or blurry. Vectorized images solve this problem. They can be enlarged or diminished with no loss of quality or detail because it is simply a math equation that is enlarged proportionately. Vectorized images are perfect for logos because they can be used on a variety of material and still maintain a consistent image.
How many designs and redesigns do I get?
Our designers will make 2-3 design changes, but in most cases, a design project will only require one change. We usually define your idea very well before we start to make sure that we are very close to your original idea from the beginning.
The more information that you can provide initially, will help us get it right and will reduce the number of design changes needed. We want you to be happy with what we make, so oftentimes, we will go above and beyond to satisfy our customers.
How many colors are included in a logo design?
Most logos require between 1 and 4 colors. If you are purchasing a simple logo we will provide 1-3 colors and with a complex logo from 2-5 colors or more, depending on your needs. The image to the right of The executive is an example of a simple logo but only has 1 color, total. This design required only 1 design change. The customer was so happy that they ordered several renditions of this logo.
Infographics (Informational Graphics)
Infographics are used to convey information such as statistics in a graphically pleasing way and are used to display that information in a simplified manner making it easier for the reader to decipher the information. Usually they are used to disseminate complex statistics and represent them in a graphical format that requires less reading and easier analysis of the information that is presented.
Typical clients that use these type of graphics are law firms and medical offices. They present this information to their patients or clients, to provide graphically pleasing information, even if the content itself is rather dry.
For instance, if a personal injury law firm wants to show statistics of motorcycle accidents, a reader would be more likely to look at a picture with a pie graph in several colors than a spreadsheet of numbers in columns.
We bridge the gap between hard statistics and information, and the common person who is not accustomed to reading information presented in its raw form such as an accountant. We provide this service at an hourly rate depending on the size and scope of the project and the information included.

Character Designing and Development
Many of our artists at The BrainChild Design, grew up reading comics and worshipping superheroes. As we’ve gotten old, that love has not diminished, and we find that we can incorporate our love of science fiction into our work.
Cartoon characters are easy for customers to remember and often can convey a certain sense of lightheartedness about your company and the idea of fun.
We are approached by companies to create characters for cartoons as well as logos, and in some cases, for prototypes, for television shows. Our illustrators love to draw characters and we have several associated with our own company.
We recently updated The BrainChild mascot and have gotten a great response from our fans over the new design.
When it comes to creating these graphics, we charge hourly fees and sell them in blocks of time. Give us a call to discuss your design or send us a wishlist with your idea and we will design it for you. Below are a few examples of characters that we have designed for ourselves and for clients.
Nothing brings a design to life as much as animation. The human eye tracks movement and thus, animation helps gain the attention of the viewer, whether it’s simple animation, such as how the content on these pages is presented, or a slider that moves multiple graphics across a page, like our homepage slider and testimonials.
There are so many types of animation and we have several artists on staff who are fluent in most of them. Do you want to bring your character to life or do you want you advertising banner to have some sort of effect associated with it? Whether you choose to use a simple animation or want to create a cartoon, The BrainChild Design will accommodate your needs and present you with a final product that you can be certain will impress your viewers.
We can create animation in several formats depending on what you prefer
- Flash Animation
- HTML 5 Animation
- Maya and 3D Studio Max
- Autodesk Inventor
- Google Sketchup
- And Many More.
3 Dimensional Design and CAD (Computer Aided Design)
3 Dimensional Design and Computer Aided design (CAD) is the newest, and one of the most highly sought-after skills in the computer world. President Obama was quoted as saying, “3D printing and CAD will herald the next industrial revolution.” It will provide a way for ordinary people to create inventions and prototypes, and to cost-effectively bring those products to market.
Combining this skill with a comprehensive eCommerce Website will enable a business owner or inventor to design, create, print and market their product(s) to the world market without having to wait for years, or to spend vast amounts of capital and time, to test and prove their concepts.
Instead, a person can now become a one-man (0r woman) manufacturer and distributor, with only an investment in time, to learn the technology and a comparatively minor investment in equipment and software.
We are already able to print parts in several different materials ranging from plastic and pvc to glass, metal, brick, and recently human cells! The possibilities are astronomical. In the future we may be able to print food and habitats. The BrainChild Design wants to be at the forefront of this technology and is already investing time and resources into our education and equipment so that we can create designs for our customers and to market our own inventions. We would be happy to help you design your own ideas and to bring them into a physical reality. Our CAD service will be charged on an hourly basis purchased in blocks of time. Check back soon for examples of work we have already completed.
